Vets are fucken expensive...
Ekka show day eve (Tuesday night) my little girl nearly died. We took her to the after hours vet because she was not acting right... So she was admitted because she was throwing up all the water she was drinking...
Blood tests were done just to check if everything was going ok
It was not...
3 hours later the vet rang to tell us that she was a sick little dog... Blood sugar was high, fat levels in her blood fucken high
With Wednesday being a public holiday my vet wasn't open so she had to stay overnight again...
Several bags of plasma flushed through her system to try and wash out her pancreas that was in a bad way too...
Thursday morn we had to take her to the our vet so that they could look after her... $2200 for that little stay
She still hadn't eaten either going on 3 days
Friday afternoon she decided that she would then eat a little.
Eventually we were allowed to take her home as she was eating and her sugar levels were normalish. $950 bucks for that vet...
Now you will be saying that doesn't make $3500 well the rest of the money is for the other dog of mine who needed to have his teeth cleaned and some removed.
So now I have a dog with diabetes... Every day she gets 2 injections a day of insulin and is on a strict diet and the other dog is a gummy dog...
